The Becket School requires a highly organised and efficient Receptionist to be based in the main school reception, welcoming all visitors to the school, dealing with them in a welcoming and efficient manner, ensuring visitors are signed in and out as appropriate.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be ICT literate and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a busy office.

Duties will include:

  • To assist at the school’s main student services dealing with pupil and staff enquiries
  • To answer, manage and direct all telephone calls to the school efficiently and effectively
  • Dealing with challenging callers and visitors to the school and the handling of external complaints
  • Maintaining confidentiality concerning any student and/or family with all persons other than authorised persons or agencies

The Becket School requires an experienced and highly motivated Behaviour Support Worker to supervise and administrate the Removal Room for students who have temporarily been withdrawn from class due to disruption in lessons.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be ICT literate and be able to demonstrate experience of managing quiet and calm and/or challenging environments.

Duties will include:

  • Take ownership of and supervise students in the Removal Room
  • Analysis of behaviour trends using software/spreadsheets
  • Investigation of behavioural incidents
  • Compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection

Teaching Assistant – Level 3 (Maths)

Salary:  Band 4 £21,166 – £23,836 pro rata

Job starts:  30 August 2019

Required for August, an experienced Teaching Assistant to work at The Becket School.  Although you will be required to work across the school, this role will specifically involve planning, preparing, delivering and monitoring intervention strategies in Maths to small, targeted groups of students especially, but not exclusively, those eligible for Pupil Premium.  Working within our successful Inclusion Department and reporting to the Pupil Premium Champion and Leader of Learning in Mathematics, your duties will also include providing classroom support and building successful relationships with the students encouraging independent learning.

You will be enthusiastic, committed to making a difference and have an excellent understanding of Maths (with GCSE Grade B/Level 6 or above).
