The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is the admission authority for all the schools within the Trust and is responsible for determining the admissions policy. On behalf of the Trust, the admissions are coordinated by the relevant Local Authority. All decisions relating to admission applications will be taken by the school’s Local Governing Body

Mid Year Transfer

In-Year Admissions (Years 7–11)

The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is the admission authority for all schools within the Trust. Admissions are coordinated by the relevant Local Authority, with decisions made by the school’s Local Governing Body.

How to Apply
Applications can be made at any time outside the normal admissions round. Please apply via Nottinghamshire County Council using the Common Application Form:

If applying on faith grounds, you must also complete a Supplementary Information Form and return it to admissions@becketonline.co.uk.

Where applications exceed available places, the published oversubscription criteria will be applied. If no places are available, your child will be added to a waiting list.

Applicants will normally be notified of the outcome within 10 school days (maximum 15). If unsuccessful, you have the right to appeal.

Waiting Lists
Waiting lists are maintained for each year group and are ranked according to the admissions criteria. Lists are reset each academic year, and a new application must be made to remain on the list.

Secondary School Applications – Key Information

When applying for a place at The Becket School, please note that as a faith school, additional documentation is required.

All applications must be submitted through the Common Application Form via your home Local Authority by the national deadline of 31 October. For full details and key dates, visit:

Nottingham City applicants:
Some applicants may not see The Becket School listed when applying for September 2025. The school appears under the full list of schools (all local authorities) or when filtering by Nottinghamshire. Do not search under Nottingham City alone. Once filtered correctly, you can search for the school by name.

Faith Applications:
In addition to the Common Application Form, you must submit a Supplementary Information Form available on our website  directly to the school, along with supporting evidence (e.g. baptism certificate for Catholic applicants).

Forms must be returned by 31 October to admissions@becketonline.co.uk or by post. Missing this deadline may affect your child’s priority for a place.

Waiting List:
If a place is not offered, your child will be added to the waiting list (unless offered a higher preference). The Local Authority manages this until 31 December, after which the school takes over.

Places are allocated based on oversubscription criteria, not application date, and positions on the list may change. You must reapply each year to remain on the list.
