The Becket School are hosting a Christmas market on the 30th of November to raise money in aid of a fantastic cause – our Trust charitable project – ‘Building Hope in Bunkpurugu’ and would like to invite you to host a stall at the event as we celebrate Christmas with all of our staff, pupils, parents and local community.


About  Building Hope in Bunkpurugu –

Bunkpurugu is an isolated area in the north of Ghana where there is currently no school for the young people of the area to attend. This area of Ghana has suffered from periods of conflict but it is hoped that by building and establishing a school for all children in the area, they will learn the value of respect and the outlook for the region will be one of hope and peace. After an amazing turn out last year and fundraising events we have been able to start with the foundations and building of the school which will be shown at our market!


The Christmas Market is an event for the whole Trust to get involved in (1 secondary school and 5 feeder primaries), and in the absence of the usual Christmas Fair it will be the only Market/ stall event happening at The Becket this year. We had an amazing turn out last year but are hoping for double in numbers due to a larger show of interest this year and marketing.


Event Information – The Becket School West Bridgford NG2 7QY

For each stall we are asking for a fee of £30 (£10 per hour) which will go straight to the ‘Building Hope in Bunkpurugu’ Fund, all takings on the day may be kept by the individual stall. The Market will open at 5:00pm and run until around 8:00pm. Set up will be from 3.30pm onwards and there is plenty of parking on site. Chairs and tables will be available if requested. Feel free to bring your own stalls/vans/equipment and we ask that you provide your own float. Outdoor area is also available and there are a few stalls which will have access to an electric socket but these are limited and will need to be requested when booking your stall. We will be running a raffle at the event if you would like to donate any prizes which would be very much appreciated.


If you are interested, we are asking for a £15.00 non-refundable deposit for your stall and the remaining balance to be paid on the night. Please inform us of your stall requests as we are unable to change your allocated stall area on the night.
